Coburn Projects is delighted to present “LOST IN DREAMS”; a solo exhibition of selected photographs by Canadian fashion and fine art photographer Raphael Mazzucco.
In Mazzucco’s first exhibition in Ibiza, Spain, the artist presents a series of 15 selected artworks from his groundbreaking anthology “Raphael Mazzucco Collected Art”. In his photographs, he is merging his love of photography with the sensuality of painting. The result produces a series of images that are startling in their honesty. The images simultaneously inspire a deep pathos and spark new heights of exhilaration.
Mazzucco’s visual narrative depicts his unwavering admiration for the eternal beauty of the female form.
In his selected works, Mazzucco explores the suggestive possibilities of ink in combination with acrylic paint, and its capacity for sensuality and meaning with an impressive sense of honesty and sincerity. Richly coloured pigments caress the dream-like beauty of his models. In Mazzucco’s photographs, the models and the colours appear to be reacting and interacting with each other long after the artist’s brush has been removed. This second layer provides the viewer with an awe inspiring in depth view into the artists passion for women and creating fine art photography and art.
Speaking about his work, Mazzucco says: “I draw a lot of inspiration from my surroundings and love being in the moment… I’ve been very fortunate to exhibit my work all over the world, from Milan and Melbourne, to Hong Kong and New York City. However, it’s an exciting time when I’m bringing my works to a country that has never seen them before.”
A private view will take place on July 31st, 2014 from 9pm - 12am on the premises of the Cavalli Restaurant & Lounge in Ibiza, Spain.
