STK Ibiza Art Programme:
Julian Lennon - Photographies

09 August – 04 September 2016

During the summer months, Coburn Projects is curating an exciting art programme at STK, Corso Hotel Ibiza. The programme features monthly exhibitions of international artists and schedules art events at STK.

The current exhibition shows photography works by Julian Lennon, acclaimed singer-songwriter, photographer, philanthropist and documentarian. This series of photographs originates from his 2011 album Everything Changes. In each print, layered images are captured within the shape of a butterfly, symbol of soul and transformation, that slowly uncover lyrical and fragile, intimate compositions.

A portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will go The White Feather Foundation – the global environmental and humanitarian organization founded by Julian Lennon in 2007. The Foundation focuses on education, health, conservation and the protection of indigenous culture as well as partnering with organisations from around the world, including The Amazon Conservation Team, Charity: Water, Connect To Learn, Interactions & Solidarity, Lupus Foundation of America, Millennium Promise, Monaco Red Cross and Studio Samuel Foundation, to raise funds for the betterment of all life and honours those who have truly made a difference.

Though primarily known as a singer-songwriter, musician and producer, Julian Lennon has grown to encompass many talents, including those of documentary film producer, philanthropist and, as of late, fine-art photographer.

Julian Lennon has always felt that he has observed life differently, perhaps because his path through life has been so unusual. Nothing could be more apparent, as he reveals to the viewer his keen eye for composition and his gift for capturing an intimate moment.
